Jewels in the ideal Poisson-Voronoi tessellation on hyperbolic space
Mardi, 30 Janvier, 2024 - 14:00 à 15:00
Résumé :
We will discuss the limit in low intensity of Poisson-Voronoi tessellations on hyperbolic spaces, a.k.a. ideal Poisson-Voronoi tessellations (IPVT). In particular, we will see how a simple Poissonian description of the cell containing the origin of hyperbolic space (zero cell) can be used to study fine properties of IPVT tiles. The talk will feature 3D-printed realizations of the zero cell of the IPVT on 3-dimensional hyperbolic space in the Poincaré ball model.
Talk based on joint work with Nicolas Curien, Nathanaël Enriquez, Russell Lyons and Meltem Ünel (2303.16831)
