Higher Dimensional Homological Isoperimetric Inequalities for Groups

Résumé :
In this talk, I will describe joint work with Gaelan Hanlon in which we study higher dimensional isoperimetric inequalities of discrete groups. I will motivate and outline a proof of the following result. If $H\leq G$ are groups admitting compact $(n+1)$-dimensional classifying spaces, then the $n^{th}$--homological filling function of $H$ is bounded above by that of $G$.
