Non negative rank of matrices

We will introduce the notion of non negative rank of a real
non negative matrix M, namely rk+(M). Then we will describe the main
properties of rk+(M). We will also study how perturbing the matrix M
affects its non negative rank. The new results contained in the talk are obtained
in collaboration with C. Bocci and F. Rapallo.
