Finite hypergeometric functions
星期四, 27 二月, 2014 - 10:30
Résumé :

Classical hypergeometric functions were introduced by Euler and studied by Gauss as analytic functions in the complex plane which satisfy a linear differential equation. At the end of the 1980's Nick Katz and John Greene independently introduced functions on
finite fields which, by all rights, can be called 'hypergeometric'.
In this lecture we explain what they are what arithmetic significance they have.
