 Title: Prolongation of invariants

Abstract: In joint work with Robert Fossum, the question of prolongation of
invariants of the additive group in zero characteristic is addressed. Sharp
inequalities leading to bounds on extendability are obtained from the
 solvability conditions of certain partial differential equations. These issues
 will be related to a computational conjecture of Sturmfels .
