Getting to BERLIOZ :
BERLIOZ is located on the university campus in St Martin d’hères.
From Grenoble trainstation, take tramway line B (map - shedule) heading to "Gières - Plaine des sports" and get off at "Les Taillées" stop. The residence is located at 200 meters (see map).
Present your IDENTITY CARD at the reception desk to collect your room keys.
The reception desk is open 24/24 hours and 7/7 days.
Check-out is BEFORE 12:00 .
Getting to the INSTITUT FOURIER :
From Grenoble trainstation, take tramway line B (map - shedule) heading to "Gières - Plaine des sports" and get off at "Bibliothèques universitaires" stop .
The Institut Fourier is a 15 minute walk from BERLIOZ. Walk along the tramway B rails until « Bibliothèques universitaires » stop.
The Institut Fourier is very close (see map).
ROOM DESCRIPTION :
Room of 12m2 with a washbasin, a shower, a bed, a desk, a chair, a cupboard, a shelf and a small fridge. No TV and telephone plug.
Bedding including blanket is provided.
Pillow, towels, toilet soap, toilet paper ARE NOT PROVIDED.
Collective kitchen on each floor. Kitchen ustensils ARE NOT PROVIDED. No microwave. No cafeteria.
A laundry and a bike parking are available in the residence.Washing machines : 2,5 euros, tumble dryer : 1 euro, washing power : 70 cents.
No WIFI.
ONLY ACCOMODATION IN STUDENT RESIDENCE IS COVERED BY THE SUMMER SCHOOL.
If you wish to be housed in hotel, you will find a list of hotels here or on the website of the Tourism Office.
LUNCHES
You can reserve lunches (starter, main course and dessert) at the Diderot university refectory (770 avenue centrale, 38400 Saint-Martin d’Hères, Tél. : 04.76.82.40.80)
Lunches must be taken per week, reservation is compulsory and must be done when registrating. Lunches will be paid at the same time as registration fees.
Otherwise : you can have snacks in campus cafeterias (sandwich, panini, salad). Payment by cash.
REGISTRATION FEES : 20 €
Total fees (registration fees + lunches) will be paid during the summer school. Payment by cash or cheque.
Financial support
Housing expenses in STUDENT RESIDENCE ONLY are covered by the Summer School.
Meals and travel expenses must be paid by the participants.
Miscellaneous
Hike during the weekends : A hike is planned during one of the weekends. Transportation to the mountains by bus will be organized and is free. Nevertheless, you should bring your own food and drinks (there are supermarkets near campus). Details will be announced during the conference. There is no need to bring heavy hiking boots, but you need good walking shoes.
Weather : Although variable usually is hot (+/- 90°F ; +/- 27°C) with thunderstorms at night. Light summerwear suffices, but don’t forget rainclothes (and a sweater for the mountains !).
