I will review some general facts about multiplicative actions on affine spaces,
give an outline of the proof for linearization of C*-actions on C^3 and then discuss
the generalization of this result to arbitrary fields of characteristic 0 in the form:
Separable forms of G_m-actions on A^3 are trivial.
