The dynamics of the scalar field, Dirac field, Maxwell field, and linearized gravity in Kerr spacetimes are all governed by a single wave equation -- the Teukolsky master equation. I will discuss recent joint works with L. Zhang on deriving the precise late-time asymptotics for solutions to this equation.
