Research interests
I
am mainly interested by 3-dimensional topology and knot
theory.
Here are a very introductory presentation of part of
my work Quelques
présentations des variétés de dimension 3
(in French) and a less introductory survey of my first results On
the Casson invariant.
I currently work on knot and 3-manifold invariants, which count
graph configurations in 3-manifolds, following Witten's study of the pertubative expansion of Chern-Simons theory, and a topological approach due to Kontsevich.
These invariants provide universal finite type invariants. I wrote a book about them.
I have committed to limiting my air travel by signing this manifesto.
